The MCBalance* is the highest standard in gravimetric dosing. It proves its value on a daily basis in all branches, under all circumstances in injection molding, blow molding and extrusion.
The dosing cylinder and patented weighing technology ensure extremely accurate dosing, even when low dosage rates are required. In this way, high savings on expensive additives can be achieved.
The continuous loss-in-weight measuring feature and automatic motor speed adjustment are key to a stable production process. This guarantees high quality end products and fewer rejects.
* also for clean room and high temperature applications
The MCTwin uses Movacolor’s gravimetric dosing technology. This means continuous loss-in-weight measurement and automatic adjustment. The functionality of dosing regrind in combination with the additive makes the MCTwin a sustainable solution for your production process.
One dosing unit of the MCTwin functions as the master unit and doses regrind, while the second operates in conjunction with the master unit and doses the additive. In practice this means that the more regrind is available, the less colorant is added. This enables you to avoid over consumption of additives and to reuse the maximum of regrind. The process is fully automatic, so you always dose the maximum percentage of available regrind. The quality remains constant, production run after production run, 24/7.
By using these two blending and dosing technologies in one machine, you are able to control the main materials in any given ratio and at the same time dose additives at low percentages with unequaled accuracy.
The MCHybrid 30* is a unique dosing concept that combines two technologies into one system: batch blending and in-line dosing.
The main materials or regrinds are mixed in an extreme compact gravimetric batch blender. Because the system only blends the main materials, the blending speed is high and therefore the batch blender remains small.
The additives are dosed gravimetrically in-line, directly on the throat of the injection molding machine or extruder.
By using these two blending and dosing technologies in one machine, you are able to control the main materials in any given ratio and at the same time dose additives at low percentages with unequalled accuracy.

If requested, the blender itself can also be used without the in-line blending units. In that case the capacity and the accuracy will reduce compared to the MCHybrid concept.
The MCHybrid 30 is also available in a specially developped regrind version: the MCHybrid 30R-series. Interested in this special regrind version of the MCHybrid 30? Inform with our dosing specialists.
Coloring with liquid can be a challenging operation. It all depends on reliable dosing, often at extreme low dosage rates. Variation in viscosity of liquids and spill-free handling are the main issues. Movacolor has developed a modular liquid dosing system with one universal motor unit, two pump types and several spill-free packaging concepts. This offers you the possibility of composing your optimum configuration.
The peristaltic pump is used in processes with frequent color change. Available as gravimetric & volumetric dosing system. Advantages:
Disadvantages:
A gravimetric peristaltic pump is an ideal combination for color changes. The gravimetric control automatically compensates for the disadvantages of a peristaltic pump: the output of a peristaltic pump is heavily depending on the viscosity of the liquid, the type of pump hose used and the age/ wear of the pump hose.
In case of long runs we advise to use a mono pump. Available as gravimetric & volumetric dosing system. Advantages:
Disadvantages:
Both systems are also available in a volumetric configuration. To complete the package we supply in-line mixers and special nozzle adapters for easy installation and easy cleaning. MCLiquid: your total liquid dosing concept.
For the most PET injection molding or extrusion processes the normal inline dosing principle works without the use of inline mixers. But when the plasticizing screw of the extruder or injection molding machine has a limited homogenization capability, it is beneficial to use an inline mixer. A selection from our inline mixer product range (for information about these products, please contact our dosing specialists):
Whether or not to use an inline mixer depends on the kind of plastic production process. The dosing specialists of Movacolor can give you a professional tailor made advice based on your type of production process. Movacolor has developed a range of inline mixers that perform optimal in homogenization and coating of low melting colors or additives.
The motorized inline mixers in the Movacolor product range are ideal for use in the most demanding applications for both injection molding and extrusion applications. The complete inline mixer construction is made of robust stainless steel, together with the small 3-phase motor this results in a compact, solid and durable end product. The inline mixer is available as single inline mixer or combined water-cooled neckpiece inline mixer.
For PET applications a special inline mixer is designed with integrated water cooled flanges. The inline mixer is available with the 50 mm outlet or the 90 mm outlet depending on the size of the PET processing machine. Both type of inline mixers can be carried out with an extra water cooled flange for mounting a second Movacolor dosing unit.
The inline mixers have a user-friendly design which makes it easy in use. The disassemble process of the inline mixer is made simple. Just remove the 3 phase-motor of the inline mixer with the counter rotating mixer blades and all parts are reachable for maintenance and cleaning.
With a MCHybrid 30 or MCHybrid 200 blending and dosing system the main materials or regrinds are mixed in a compact gravimetric batch blender. Next to that the additives are dosed gravimetrically in-line, directly on the throat of the IMM or extruder. By using the blending and dosing technology of the MCHybrid 30 and MCHybrid 200 in one machine, you are able to control the capacities of the main materials in any given ratio and dose materials like regrind and masterbatch at low percentages with great accuracy.
